Drinking water points are available free of charge throughout the site.

We are committed to protecting the environment and keeping our festival site spotless. We therefore do not want our beautiful festival site to be polluted by plastic cups and other rubbish. That is why we have introduced a deposit system.

How does it work?

When you get a drink at the bar, a cup deposit will be charged. You will receive a token from us, which you can return with the cup the next time you order and get your deposit back.

We use reusable plastic cups. They can be washed and reused up to 100 times! This is an important step towards reducing festival waste and making the Schwing und Stampf Festival more sustainable.

The entire festival is cashless. You can pay everywhere with your normal debit or credit card. Payment with TWINT is also possible.

Would you like to become part of our festival cosmos?

You can register as a volunteer here. More information can be found on the volunteer page.

CAMPING

With a valid festival ticket, you are automatically entitled to use the campsite.

Our beautiful camping meadow is located right next to the festival grounds, in the shade of a large rock face.

Please remember to bring a good, weatherproof tent, as the weather in the mountains can change quickly.

Campers and caravans are allowed with a camper ticket. At the campsite entrance, the ticket must be exchanged for a camping voucher. Camper tickets cannot be purchased on site.

Please leave the campsite as you found it. Large containers as well as a recycling station for glass, aluminium and PETare available on the meadow.

Please respect the beautiful nature around you.

Pyrotechnic objects, petards, dry ice and animals.

So that you don't get bored between all the dancing, you can stroll through our diverse market area from time to time. Here you will find various shops and offers, such as a tattoo artist or a stylist, who will spice you up for the dancefloor.

Information about the individual stands, performances and workshops will be communicated on our instagram shortly before the festival.

Schwing und Stampf offers a wide range of catering options at the festival. Of course, there are also vegan and vegetarian options.

There are various bars selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Water can be obtained free of charge from the publicly accessible water points.

Every morning, a delicious and fresh festival breakfast is served at the main bar – it’s worth it!

As we are celebrating in a very remote region, the internet reception is sometimes not great. Visitors with Swisscom or Sunrise should not have any major problems with reception. Salt users, on the other hand, may have no reception at times. There will be a public Wi-Fi spot available at the entrance. Either way, it's much better to celebrate without a smartphone in your hand. Share your beautiful moments with the people around you <3

The festival site is situated at almost 1,000 meters above sea level and is surrounded by mountains. As a result, weather conditions can change rapidly, and there is a relatively high chance of rain. At night, temperatures can easily drop below 10 degrees Celsius. We therefore recommend bringing sufficient weatherproof and warm clothing.

If you need first aid, you will find help at the awareness stand. Minor cases can be treated there directly. The Cantonal Hospital of Nidwalden is on standby for major emergencies.

There are signposted emergency exits on the festival site. In the event of an evacuation, all visitors must assemble on the large, gravelled area by the power station.

The use of the pool is open to all visitors during opening hours. Swimming in the pool is prohibited at night. It is also possible to refresh yourself in the nearby mountain stream - please take personal responsibility!

You will find all the important information about the music and supporting programme on our information pillar right by the entrance. If you have any further questions, please ask the staff at the entrance.
