VOLUNTEERS
Would you like to support us with the set-up, dismantling, or during the festival?
Are you skilled with your hands or creative and in the mood for a new project?
Would you like to get a look behind the scenes of a small festival?
Can you help us with any of these areas? Then sign up now as a volunteer. Below you'll find all the important information on arrival, compensation, check-in, deposit, etc.
Please read everything carefully before signing up as a helper.
REGISTRATION AND COMPENSATION
When registering, you can let us know where you'd most like to help us. We coordinate our helpers as best we can to ensure fair work distribution, so everyone finds a task they enjoy. During registration, you can decide if you'd like to help with set-up, during the festival, and/or dismantling. However, it's possible we may need to assign you elsewhere than you specified in the registration form.
Of course, your help will not go unrewarded. You'll receive a free 4-day festival ticket (THU–SUN), beverage and meal vouchers, as well as fascinating insights behind the scenes of a festival. You can also combine shifts for set-up, during the festival, and/or dismantling. You can mix the different roles to collect the minimum of 3 credits required for your festival ticket.
For your festival ticket, you must collect at least 3 credits during registration. For every additional credit (+ 1 ), you'll receive 1 extra meal voucher and 2 extra drink vouchers.
● 1 set-up day = 1 credit
● 1 festival shift (6h) = 1.5 credits
● 1 dismantling day = 2 credits
Without you, the festival wouldn't be possible – thank you! <3
The working day lasts about 9 hours (09:00–18:00), including a one-hour lunch break where our team will cook for you. Drinking water is available to you throughout your shift. When registering, you can select the exact dates you're available and want to help.
Since the work takes place in all weather conditions, we recommend wearing appropriate work and weatherproof clothing. Good shoes are definitely an advantage.
Your shift officially ends at 18:00. In consultation with the team, you can work longer, but overtime unfortunately cannot be credited.
At the set-up/dismantling, there is an attendance check at 09:00 at the shelter on the festival grounds. If for whatever reason you miss this check, please contact a responsible person on site immediately to prevent misunderstandings and avoid your ticket being mistakenly blocked or not refunded.
Shift planning takes place in July. You will receive your personal schedule in good time by email.
A festival shift lasts 6 hours. Please be aware that you may be assigned to a night or early-morning shift. Shift times are based on the festival's schedule from Thursday to Sunday afternoon. If you are only arriving on Friday, let us know in the registration form so we can consider this in your scheduling.
Shift planning takes place in July. You will receive your personal shift plan in good time by email. Your work locations can be found in your shift plan.
Important: Please arrive at your work location 15 minutes before your shift starts so that a smooth shift change is possible.
Based on experiences from previous years, we require a deposit from all helpers, which must be paid before the festival. The deposit amount is roughly equal to a 4-day festival ticket in the final sales phase (CHF 250.–).
The deposit will be fully refunded after successfully completing all assigned shifts.
Can't pay the deposit?
We know not everyone is able to pay this deposit easily. We're always interested in finding a suitable solution with you – just send us an email at helfen@schwingundstampf.ch.
What happens if you don't show up for your assigned shifts?
Helpers who miss their shifts without excuse unfortunately cause additional effort for the organization and all the other helpers, negatively impacting everyone's festival experience.
If you miss any of your shifts without timely notice or a doctor's note, we reserve the right to keep your deposit and deny you access to the festival in the future.
Need to deregister as a helper?
If you need to cancel your shifts, please notify us as soon as possible by email to helfen@schwingundstampf.ch.
If you cancel by August 1, 2026 inclusive, the entire deposit will be refunded to you. The ticket will be canceled and cannot be transferred to another person.
Important: Cancellations after August 1, 2026, can only be refunded with a valid doctor's certificate. Alternatively, you are free to find a replacement for your shift yourself.
A shuttle bus runs directly from Wolfenschiessen train station to the festival site. As a volunteer, you can use it free of charge. Just show us your confirmation email.
Please note that arrival by car during the festival (THU–SUN) is not possible due to limited space.
During set-up and dismantling, no shuttle buses are running. During that time, we recommend the public transport, which stops directly in front of the festival site. The bus stop is: Oberrickenbach, Talstat. LFCH. You are also welcome to arrive by car during this period. Please note that vehicles without a valid camper ticket must be parked in Wolfenschiessen during the festival.
● During set-up and dismantling, your meals are provided (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
● During the festival, your received food and drink vouchers can be used at our helper food stall.
You will receive all information about your shifts before the festival. To this end, you will be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group. If you don't have WhatsApp, please let us know during your registration.
The WhatsApp group is also your go-to for questions about your shifts, work, etc.
Please make sure to arrive at your assigned work station 15 minutes before your shift begins so we can ensure a smooth shift change.
There is a large meadow for pitching your tent, both during the festival and for set-up/dismantling. Bring appropriate gear for the weather, as it can be very changeable. If you want to camp on the premises with a vehicle during the festival, you must also purchase the appropriate camper ticket. Spaces are assigned separately and only as long as they are available.
Showers (from August 24, 2026) and sanitary facilities (at all times) are available. The pool is open throughout. If you help with set-up, you’ll have the advantage of choosing a good camping spot early on.
