Atrice is a Swiss-Colombian duo known for their fusion of intricate sound design and bass-driven club music. Their music is shaped by everyday encounters and the constant influx of digital stimuli. Drawing inspiration from sound system culture and bass music, they channel the raw energy of communal spaces and the physical impact of low frequencies.

With backgrounds in composition, music theory, and sound art, their sound blends detailed textures with depth and atmosphere. Influenced by acousmatic music and rich sonic layering, they use digital processing to craft sounds that blur the line between organic and synthetic.

Atrice’s approach is intuitive yet precise, creating music that works just as well on a powerful sound system as in more intimate settings — always staying true to a DIY spirit.

Over the past few years, they have released three records on the respected Ilian Tape label to strong critical acclaim, as well as two on the forward-thinking TraTraTrax label. Their catalogue also includes releases on Unknown Untitled, Panel Audio, Nostro Hood System, [re]sources, Ozelot, Les Points, and their own imprint, Miras.

They are currently working on two debut LPs — one for Ilian Tape and another for a soon-to-be-announced label. These records reflect years of experimentation with composition and sound design and mark the beginning of a new chapter. Each LP offers a distinct take on their musical evolution: one leans toward bass-driven, IDM-inspired sounds, while the other introduces AI-generated vocals and melodies, touching on contemporary pop influences.

Both showcase their ability to move between different styles while maintaining their signature depth and complexity. The releases are expected in late 2025 or early 2026.

Their DJ sets are high-energy and unpredictable, often layering multiple grooves simultaneously to create intense, rhythmic textures. Their live performances, in contrast, highlight their intricate production approach, using real-time manipulation to further push their sonic boundaries.

Atrice has performed live at renowned festivals and venues, marking significant milestones in their career. Highlights include Unsound Festival at Nowadays in New York City (USA), Positive Education Festival in Saint-Étienne (FR), Corsica Studios in London (UK), and Centre d’Arts Santa Mònica in Barcelona (ES).

Their DJ sets have also resonated at esteemed events such as Melt Festival in Ferropolis (DE), H0l0 in New York City (USA), and RSO in Berlin (DE), among many others.

Atrice’s work has received praise from some of electronic music’s most respected figures. Aphex Twin played their track Gr. Impact at a major festival. Media outlets such as Groove Magazine, Bandcamp, and Juno have highlighted their ability to create complex, evolving compositions that remain deeply physical and danceable.
